About Liz

Liz Burnett has been in the Arts, Gem & Jewelry industry since 1993 and has an established career as a professional Graduate Gemologist,
and Master Valuer jewelry appraiser. She received these qualifications from the Gemological Institute of America, and from the Californian
Institute of Jewelry Training. She has worked in various fields of the diamond and gemstone industry in South Africa, USA, & Canada.

n addition to being a jewelry appraiser, Liz is also a silversmith, artist, writer & publisher. You can view some of her work at

n January 2015 Liz founded the Vancouver Applied Arts Center, an art studio offering employment to women with disabilities. This art studio
has just completed its first art project - hand painting over 100 silk scarves for the Nite of Hope breast cancer fundrai
ser held in April 2015.

Three very special sterling silver
Mosadi Jewelry pendants were designed and manufactured by Liz. These pendants are very special gifts
for women who are in cancer treatment, or who are cancer survivors. Each pendant has a pink tourmaline suspended from it, a stone with

In 2010 & 2011 Liz wrote & published two issues of
Okanagan Art Works, featuring conversations with over 60 artists from the Thompson
Okanagan region in British Columbia. She won the Okanagan Arts Award in 2011 for best Supporter of the Arts for this publication. You can
